“Our Angel” Ashley Ann Call, age 29, slipped quietly away from us into her Heavenly Father’s care March 21, 2006. We who know Ashley’s pure spirit trust that her heavenly home has a perfect view of majestic mountains, never obscured by cloudy days. Ashley’s life was challenging as she was born with autism and deafness. Those challenges never stopped her from living a great life. She found great joy in things most of us overlooked.
Ashley loved Utah’s mountains in all four seasons. She loved boating, motorcycle rides, UTA busses, fish, Slurpees, phone books and long rides in cars with windows down. She loved her job at Harmon Music Group and her co-workers there. Her family and friends will miss her deeply and can’t wait to talk to her in heaven about the funny things she did on earth.
She is survived by her parents: Richard and Marilyn Call; sister, Camille (Samuel) Call-Garcia; brother, Jason (Jessica) Call; niece, Kaya Call; nephew, A.J. Garcia; grandparents: Louise Tiller, Everett and Ann Call; lots of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends who loved her. She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Earl Tiller, and aunt, LouAnn Call, who are giving her an orientation to heaven.
Great appreciation goes to the teams of doctors, nurses and social workers at the neurology critical care unit at the University of Utah Hospital. We could not have survived this long ordeal without each of you.
